Former ski resort manager heads real estate office at Schweitzer

December 20, 2012
Mike McLean

Longtime winter resort manager and real estate agent Ron Nova is the new manager at the Evergreen Realty office on Schweitzer Mountain, says Charlie Parrish, the broker at the Sandpoint-based real estate agency.

The Schweitzer office is located in the Lazier Center, in the village at the base of Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort.

Nova had been an agent with Evergreen's Sandpoint office, at 321 N. First, since 2008. Prior to that, he was director of real estate sales at a Winter Park, Colo., brokerage. He was general manager at Schweitzer from 2004 to 2006, capping a 30-year career in the ski industry that also included a stint as general manager at Stevens Pass ski resort in the North Cascades.

At Evergreen's Schweitzer office, he'll replace Diane Holmes, who has left the area to take an information technology position in Minneapolis after managing Evergreen's Schweitzer office for six years, Parrish says.

Evergreen Realty has developed 150 condominium units on Schweitzer Mountain and has sold real estate there since the brokerage was founded at Schweitzer in 1984, Parrish says. Evergreen opened its Sandpoint office in 1988. The downtown Sandpoint location since has become the main office for the brokerage.

About a dozen agents work out of the two offices, he says.
