Spokane-based McCabe Group Inc., a Papa Murphy's Take-N-Bake Pizza franchisee with two outlets here, soon will move a store located farther north on Division Street to a building it's developing on Ruby Street along the Division-Ruby couplet.

Patrick McCabe, who is the franchisee owner along with his wife, Melissa McCabe, says the business is erecting a 1,460-square-foot structure at 2018 N. Ruby to house the Papa Murphy's outlet that's currently located at 3402 N. Division. He says the company's lease at the Division site has expired.

The store is expected to move to the Ruby building by mid-December.

McCabe Group also operates a Papa Murphy's it opened 10 years ago in leased space in a retail center at the northwest corner of Trent Avenue and Argonne Road.

The take-and-bake stores operated by McCabe Group employ a total of 30 people, 15 at each location.

McCabe says the business purchased the vacant land along Ruby for $230,000 last spring. Work on the building started in July. The contractor is Kofmehl Inc., of Spokane, and Haines Architectural Services, also of Spokane, was the designer.

The city of Spokane listed a permit value for the project at $185,000.
