Contractor selected for Kennedy Apartments

Project awaits L&I approval

January 13, 2022

A contractor has been selected to build the Kennedy Apartments, at 3028 N. Madelia, in Spokane.

TLC Modular Homes, of Goldendale, Washington, will build the apartment buildings, says Richard Kennedy, CEO of Modre Ventures LLC, the real estate investment fund and development company behind the project.

Kennedy says no building permits have been issued yet, however, plans will move forward as soon as the company receives approval from the Washington state Department of Labor & Industries, which monitors modular construction that’s built offsite and shipped to construction sites in Washington.

“I’m still trying to pursue the project as a model for quality housing that is also affordable and profitable,” Kennedy says.

Three factory-built apartment buildings will measure about 10 feet wide, 30 feet long, and 9 to 10 feet tall.

Pre-development application information lists the project value at $2.8 million.
