Spokane-based GVD Commercial Properties Inc. is developing a three-bay retail center near the Wandermere-area Fred Meyer Stores Inc. outlet.

The project site is located at 426 E. Hastings Road, near the southeast corner of Hastings and Division Street.

Ryan Goodell, GVD's vice president, declines to disclose the project cost, but information filed with the city of Spokane lists the construction value for the single-story, 5,000-square-foot structure at $542,000.

Polin & Young Construction Inc., of Coeur d'Alene, is the contractor on the project, and Bernardo Wills Architects PC, of Spokane, designed it.

Goodell says he expects the project will be completed next month. GVD will own the structure and lease it out, he says.

A Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches franchise has agreed to lease the structure's 1,700-square-foot east bay, which will have a drive-through window, Goodell says.

Also, Let It Ride LLC has agreed to lease 1,500 square feet of space in the middle bay of the Wandermere structure. The concern, which sells skateboards and other recreational boards, plans to move from its current location, at 101 E. Hastings early next year.

The 1,800-square-foot space at the building's west end remains available.
