First Spokane-area Wienerschnitzel opens on North Side

Restaurants & Retail

November 4, 2021
Virginia Thomas

A Wienerschnitzel hot dog restaurant is coming to the Northpointe Plaza, on Spokane's North Side.

Justin Rundle, of Cantu Commercial Properties, represented Wienerschnitzel in the purchase of the 1,250-square-foot former Papa John's restaurant building at 10220 N. Newport Highway. Wienerschnitzel serves hot dogs, burgers, and shakes, as well as breakfast sandwiches. Rundle says the building is undergoing extensive remodeling.

Due to construction materials supply issues, an opening date hasn’t been set yet, but Rundle says Spokane-area Wienerschnitzel franchisee Brian Harshbarger hopes to open the restaurant by mid-2022. Harshbarger plans to bring an additional three to four Wienerschnitzel restaurants to the Spokane area, Rundle says.
