Spokane hair stylist, Anna Tanner, has her sights set on opening her own salon, Raven & Rose, at 1427 W. Montgomery, on the city’s North Side.
She and her husband, Jeremy Tanner, acquired a one-time single-family home at the corner of Northwest Boulevard and North Walnut Street and have started remodeling for a 1,450-square-foot salon.
“We had been looking (for space) for just a few months and got lucky and came across this,” Jeremy Tanner says.
Tanner says Anna, a hair stylist at a downtown Spokane salon, hopes to be able to open in late January or early February.
He says Anna would be Raven & Rose’s sole employee at the outset.
The Tanners want to demolish the building’s interior to create a more open space. Tanner plans to install two chairs and a pair of wash sinks to accompany them.
A city of Spokane commercial building application lists Spokane-based JNW Concrete & Construction as the project’s general contractor.
Russell C. Page Architects PS, of Spokane, is listed as the project architect, and Thomas Dean & Hoskins Inc. is listed as the project engineer, according to the city application.
