Longtime Spokane developer David Black, above, stands outside the James S. Black building, at the southeast corner of First Avenue and Howard Street downtown. His commercial brokerage, NAI Black, had been located in that building for years until it moved elsewhere in the city’s core to make way for conversion to living spaces.
