Virtual fall home festival set to start Sept. 25

Event to feature 21 new sites throughout county

September 24, 2020

The Spokane Home Builders Association’s 16th annual Fall Festival of Homes is joining the ever-growing list of popular local events going virtual this year, as the trade group plans to host 3D virtual tours of its featured properties.

The event is set to launch at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, and will run through Oct. 4. It will feature 21 newly built homes from 16 area builders, says Taylor Clanagan, marketing and communications coordinator with SHBA. The event is free to the public.

The homes are located throughout the greater Spokane area, from Deer Park to the South Hill and from Liberty Lake to Airway Heights.

Homesites this year include Shamrock Glen in Deer Park; Five Mile View Estates, in North Spokane; the Villages at Stonehill, in Liberty Lake; Timberland Terrace, in Spokane Valley; Iron Bridge Condos, in central Spokane; Bella Terra Garden Homes, on the South Hill; and The Traditions, on the West Plains.

Participants still can tour the homes in person, says Joel White, executive officer of the SHBA, but in-person tours must be prescheduled. To facilitate that, a digital calendar will be available on the festival website for participants to schedule tours with real estate agents or the builders.

In-person tour times are dependent on Realtor schedules, Clanagan adds.

Beyond that, the event will look a little different this year. With the exception of one home, participants will be able to virtually tour all featured homes using Matterport 3D technology, says Clanagan.

“We wanted to make sure everybody felt comfortable and safe to tour,” she says.

The virtual tours will be available 24/7, Clanagan adds.

Some builder pages will feature a roughly 30-second video in which the builders will give more information about the properties, she says.

Participants will be able to vote on a People’s Choice Award.

Builders and developers include Viking Homes, Kuntz Construction LLC, Bella Terra Garden Homes, Gordon Finch Homes Inc Lexington Homes-DRH LLC, Hayden Homes LLC, Terra Homes LLC, Luxury Homes LLC, Stonehill Builders LLC, Panorama Build LLC, Solid Ground Home Builders, Condron Homes LLC, Markham Homes Inc., and Greenstone Corp.

Clanagan adds there are two newcomers to the event this year, Divcon Inc. with its Iron Bridge Condos, and Superior Homes Inc. with its Blanco 55 property, on the South Hill.

The event will go live at fallfestivalofhomes.com. Participants can also view homes via a mobile app.
