Inland Power & Light, the Spokane-based electric cooperative, has named Jennifer Lutz as its president and chief operating officer.

In that position, Lutz will be second in command at the organization, behind Inland Power CEO Jason Bronec.

A 14-year veteran of the cooperative, Lutz most recently served as its chief administration officer prior to the promotion, which is effective immediately. She has served in several supervisory and management positions with the organization since joining it as a communications specialist in 2010.

In a press release announcing the promotion, Bronec characterizes Lutz as a valued member of the executive team and says, "her diverse leadership skills make this an exciting move for the cooperative."

A University of Washington graduate, Lutz worked for Sterling Savings Bank and Microsoft Corp. before joining Inland Power.

Headquartered at 10110 W. Hallett Road on the West Plains, Inland Power has more than 46,000 member-owners in 13 counties in Eastern Washington and northern Idaho. Founded in 1937, the organization bills itself as the largest electric cooperative in Washington state.
