Tapa Spokane LLC, a Bellevue, Washington-based development company, is planning three new buildings in Spokane Valley for a project dubbed Tapa Business Park Barker Road, permit information on file with the city of Spokane Valley shows.

Three warehouses with office space will be constructed on over 2-acres of vacant land zoned for industrial use. The site is located at the northeast corner of North Barker Road and East Euclid Avenue, at 18713, 18809, and 18815 E. Euclid.

The entire project is valued at $2.5 million, according to building permits issued by the city of Spokane Valley in October.

Representatives of Tapa Spokane couldn't be reached immediately for comment.

Design plans for the property call for a combined 24,800 square feet of warehouse space within three buildings. One building will have 8,100 square feet of space, including a 1,500-square-foot office and 6,500 square feet of warehouse space. The remaining two buildings will each be slightly larger at 8,300 square feet in size. Both the second and third structures also will have 1,500-square-foot offices, and 6,800 square feet of warehouse space, permit information shows.

Each building will have a parking lot and associated drive aisles, walkways, drainage swales, and frontage improvements, plans show.

Spokane Valley-based Russell C. Page Architects PS is the architect of record. Sandpoint, Idaho-based Overland Excavation Inc. is the contractor.

Tapa Business Park Barker Road is the the third Spokane Valley business park development for Tapa Spokane, which has two other properties on East Trent. Tapa Business Park West is located at 13411 E. Trent, and contains 10, 2,000-square-foot commercial units. Tapa Business Park East is located about 1 1/2 miles east of Tapa Business Park West, at 16003 E. Trent. The property holds 14 commercial lots that start at a minimum size of 6,000 square feet of warehouse space, according to the company's website.

Tapa Spokane purchased the vacant Barker Road property for $350,000 from the Spokane Valley Fire Department in December 2020, according to Washington state tax information.
