Safeguard Equipment Inc., the maker of personal devices that detect electrocution hazards, is in the business of saving lives.

The organization’s presence, whose lifesaving products are paired with cloud-based software that provides real-time hazard detection and critical data insights, has expanded its footprint globally through European markets.

Established in 2017, Safeguard Equipment’s headquarters are located at 4202 W. Riverbend, in Post Falls. The company employs 38 workers, 29 of whom are based in the Inland Northwest. In 2024, the company’s revenue increased by 50% from the year before.

How would you quantify Safeguard’s growth in recent years?

We measure growth beyond revenue in several key areas, including technology expansion, international growth, major contracts secured, and executing our largest capital raise to date. We have expanded our team across key functions, including software engineering, outside sales, sales operations, marketing communications, and business development. Most importantly, our growth directly translates to impact. As we expand, we are preventing more workplace injuries and saving more lives than ever before—our ultimate measure of success.

How has the organization adapted or innovated over the years?

Over the past year, we have driven significant innovation and transformation across our organization. We successfully transitioned from a hardware-only company to developing a robust cloud-based safety platform that connects intelligent wearables, real-time data transmission, and a mobile application to enhance workplace safety. In addition to technological advancements, we strengthened our distribution and sales channels, establishing key partnerships in Europe to accelerate our global expansion.

In what ways does your organization give back to the community?

This community has supported us from the beginning, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to pay it forward. We love investing in the next generation by working with local schools and universities, inspiring students to explore entrepreneurship and engineering. We’re also honored to support organizations such as Joya, Toys-for-Tots, and others that are making a difference in people’s lives. We also work closely with the city chamber of commerce to help strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit and creativity that makes the Pacific Northwest so great.
