Kootenai County home sales, prices rise in May

Active listings nearly 14% higher than last year

Kootenai County single-family homes sold this year reached 922 in May, a 2.7% increase compared to the same time last year, according to the latest Market Snapshot from Coeur d’Alene Regional Realtors.

The median home price in May was about $543,400, a 3.5% increase from May 2024, and about the same as a month earlier.

There were 1,134 current active residential listings in Kootenai County as of June 4. That’s a 13.6% increase compared with the same time last year, when there were 998 listings. In April, there were 1,001 listings.

In May, homes stayed on the market for an average of 96 days, a 1% drop from the year-earlier month.
