A veterinary facility dubbed One Love Animal Hospital is slated to be built in Post Falls for about $1.1 million, records filed with the city of Post Falls indicate.

Wadsworth Development Group, a real estate developer based in Draper, Utah, is listed as the project’s owner, records show. Meridian, Idaho-based McCarter-Moorhouse LLC is the project’s general contractor; Nampa, Idaho-based Performance Engineers is providing structural engineering analysis; and 12.15 Design, of Iowa City, Iowa, is the project’s architect.

The project’s owners, Wadsworth Development Group, couldn't be reached immediately for comment.

Information submitted to the city of Post Falls indicates that the 2,600-square-foot animal hospital will be a newly constructed facility on a vacant property at 6038 W. Expo Parkway. Records on file with the Kootenai County Assessor’s office indicate the property is classified as a rural tract and encompasses just over an acre of land. It is owned by Decent Beans Property Management LLC.

According to permit information, One Love Animal Hospital will include exam rooms, a small dog kennel area, two bathrooms, and a surgery area, among other features.

Post Falls, just east of the Washington-Idaho state line, has a population of about 44,000, according to the latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau. The city also has at least two other animal hospitals within its footprint, including VCA Kootenai Animal Hospital and Inland Northwest Veterinary Specialty Care. Other animal hospitals within its vicinity include Lakewood Hospital in Coeur d’Alene, Mountain View Veterinary Clinic in Hayden, and Hayden Pet Medical Center.

Wadsworth Development Group is a full-service development and asset company founded in 1996. It offers commercial real estate development, commercial property management, build-to-suit, turnkey, office, retail, and hospitality, among other services.
