Groundworks opens Liberty Lake office

Company to hire employees from Inland Northwest area

Groundworks LLC, a national foundation repair company, is expanding to Liberty Lake in October, where the company will increase its coverage area to service roughly 360,000 single-family homes across Eastern Washington and North Idaho.

The Virginia Beach, Virginia-based company plans to occupy 25,000 square feet of office and warehouse space at 22924 E. Appleway. Its new facility will provide foundation repair, basement waterproofing, crawl space repair and encapsulation, concrete lifting and leveling, and other structural repair services throughout the Inland Northwest, says Director of Integration at Groundworks, Andy Hansen.

"Eastern Washington and North Idaho have experienced steady residential growth, and many homes in the region face foundation and water management challenges due to varying soil conditions, moisture, seasonal freeze-thaw cycles, and aging housing stock,” Hansen says. “Establishing an office in this area allows us to better serve homeowners with faster response times, local expertise, and long-term service.”

The facility will function as a full-service branch including space for customer service, sales, and leadership departments, as well as warehouse and storage space for equipment and vehicles. The new office space won’t require tenant improvements, he says.

In the Pacific Northwest, Groundworks operates two existing Washington state branches — in the cities of Sumner and Arlington — and one branch in Belgrade, Montana.

"Liberty Lake stood out because of its central location between Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, providing convenient access to customers throughout Eastern Washington and northern Idaho,” Hansen says. “The area's transportation infrastructure, growing business community, and strong workforce also made it an excellent fit."

Groundworks will hire up to 35 employees for its new office and will grow its workforce along with business needs. The company expects to recruit installers, sales professionals, and operation leaders from the Inland Northwest, Hansen says.

A general manager hasn’t been selected yet, he adds. Hansen declines to disclose the new location’s expected revenue.

Groundworks expands to new markets by opening new offices, such as the planned Liberty Lake branch, and by acquiring established companies. The company has grown to employ more than 6,900 employees at 85 locations nationally since its founding in 2016, according to the company’s website.
