Bardic Brewing debuts in Spokane Valley

~

December 19, 2019

Business owners Mark and Courtney Haney have unveiled their Bardic Brewing & Cider tap room, located at 15412 E. Sprague, in Spokane Valley.

The 1,000-square-foot tap room, located in the Sullivan Square Shopping Center, opened at the end of November.

“We had to sit down and think about it, but to our best recollection, Mark probably started brewing beer and cider about 13 years ago,” Courtney Haney says. “It went from something that was a hobby to something that we’re both really passionate about now.”

Before opening their tap room, Haney says, Bellwether Brewing Co., at 2019 N. Monroe, on Spokane’s North Side began picking up certain styles he brewed.

Bardic Brewing & Cider offers Wanna Be My Cider!, described as bone dry and spiced with cinnamon, clove, and star anise, and ideal for winter-time consumption. Haney also offers Chanterelle Lace, a Belgian-style Abbey Ale that’s topped off with local chanterelle mushrooms for an earthy flavor.

Bardic Brewing serves limited food items and was designed with families in mind. Different brands of root beer as well as arts and crafts and games are available for children.

An ornament-making class is being offered 11 a.m. to noon Dec. 21, with tickets being sold at eventbright.com. Cookie-decorating sessions will follow before giving way to caroling from 5 to 7 p.m.

Bardic Brewing & Cider is open 3-9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 3-10 p.m. Friday, and noon-10 p.m. Saturday.
