Brokers buy downtown Fusion Juice restaurant

Eatery will continue to offer smoothies, fresh-made food

July 14, 2016

Dallas and Ellen Lightner and Ryan Towner, all of Spokane, have bought the assets of Fusion Juice of Spokane Inc.

They plan to operate the independent restaurant in the James S. Black Building, at 107 S. Howard, as Spokane Fusion LLC. The restaurant occupies 800 square feet of leased space on the main floor of the building.

Towner and Dallas Lightner are commercial real estate brokers with NAI Black, and their offices are on the fifth floor of the same building.

They represented themselves as the buyers of the business. Bryan Walker, James S. Black III, and Chris Bell, all of NAI Black, represented the seller, Ronald McCullough.

The restaurant has been operating for about a decade, Towner says.

Spokane Fusion will continue to specialize in smoothies and juice, as well as sandwiches, wraps, and baked goods, he says.

“We want to keep it simple and make it easy on people with good, fresh food that’s going to be quick,” Towner says.

The restaurant has three employees.

The small café has seating at three island tables, some window seating, and some outside seating, he says.

Investment & Development

Hentec Holdings LLC, a real estate holding company affiliated with Spokane Valley automated-soldering equipment manufacturer Hentec Industries Inc., has bought for future development 2.35 acres of vacant land at the northwest corner of Kildea Avenue and Canal Road, in Newman Lake. Mike King, of NAI Black, and Tracy Poff, of Kiemle & Hagood Co., handled the transaction.

Bo Chalich, of Liberty Lake, and Scott Conant, of Spokane, have bought as an investment a half-acre of land at 17018 E. Sprague. Mike King, of NAI Black, and Greg Kelsey and Kirk Holding, both of Realty Northwest LLC, handled the transaction.

Doug and Merrily Graham, of Spokane, have bought as an investment a multitenant retail building with 5,600 square feet of space at 510 and 512 E. Sherman, in Coeur d’Alene. Chris Schreiber and Pat Eberlin, both of Kiemle & Hagood Co., handled the transaction.

Office & Retail

Gina M. Costello & Associates PS, a Spokane law practice, has leased 1,200 square feet of space at 110 W. Cataldo and plans to move there from smaller quarters at 430 W. Indiana. Mike King, of NAI Black handled the transaction.

Axiom Homes Inc., a home designer and builder, has leased 950 square feet of office space in the Syringa Business Center, at 227 E. Locust, in Coeur d’Alene, and plans to move its office there from less centralized quarters, at 9255 N. Government Way, in Hayden. Chris Schreiber, of Kiemle & Hagood Co., handled the transaction.

Jay Low, of Seattle, has bought a 3,300-square-foot building formerly occupied by a Country Closeouts store at 3801 E. Sprague and plans to open a new marijuana retail business there. Doug Byrd, of Byrd Real Estate Group LLC, and Ashley Hanna-Emtman, of Kelly Right Real Estate of Spokane LLC, handled the transaction.
