PayneWest Insurance consolidates its Spokane-area office

Operations merged into space in the U District

October 8, 2015

PayneWest Insurance has consolidated its Spokane-area offices into 21,500 square feet of space in the Riverpoint One office building, at 501 N. Riverpoint Blvd., in Spokane’s University District, says Dan Antonietti, its managing director for administrative services.

As of six months ago, PayneWest Insurance had three offices in the Spokane area, says Antonietti.

The company closed an 8,000-square-foot office at 827 W. First in May and moved those operations into the space at Riverpoint, and it closed a 5,250-square-foot office at 7903 E. Broadway, which housed PayneWest’s construction surety services, and moved those operations to Riverpoint in mid-August, he says.

The company is leasing the third and fourth floors of the Riverpoint One building from the Spokane Community College Foundation and has about 70 employees here, all of whom are full time, he says.

PayneWest is an independent insurance agency that offers all lines, including commercial, business, and personal insurance, says Antonietti. Some specific types of insurance include property and liability, health benefits, and home, auto, and boat insurance, he says.

He says the benefits of combining locations are the teamwork and unity that come from everyone being in the same building, the ability to better service clients, and more ease when training new employees.

Headquartered in Missoula, Mont., PayneWest Insurance has about 630 employees overall at offices in Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Oregon, says Antonietti.
