Plastic Surgery Northwest remodel slated

New offices, third floor to be added to structure

June 2, 2022
Karina Elias

A $1.8 million remodel is planned for the Plastic Surgery Northwest medical office building at 530 S. Cowley, on the lower South Hill.

Eric Armstrong, of Spokane-based Pondera Architecture PC, says he’s designing the project, along with San Diego-based health care architectural firm Raymond Fox & Associates.

Spokane-based Walker Construction Inc. is the contractor on the project, says Armstrong.

Plastic Surgery Northwest is built on a grade. From the parking lot, it appears to have only one level, but a lower daylight basement level, where surgeries are performed, is visible from the west side of the building. Armstrong says 1,200 square feet of space will be added to the lower-level surgery center to accommodate two recovery rooms.

On the second floor, plans involve remodeling the main lobby and adding office spaces and spa treatment rooms. Plans also include adding a third floor on the east side of the building, Armstrong says. The third floor will have 3,800 square feet of new administrative office space.

Armstrong says a building permit application likely will be submitted in July or August, with work expected to begin late this year.
