Kilgore Construction erecting $1 million North Side retail building

-

November 20, 2014

Colbert-based Kilgore Construction Inc. has started construction on a $1 million, nearly 8,000-square-foot building at 9412 N. Newport Highway that’s planned to be used for retail space.

The building is being developed by 9412 N. Newport Hwy. LLC and will be a one-story structure with a parking lot that will hold 40 to 50 cars, says Bob Spears, a principal in the company.

The construction is expected to be completed by May 1, 2015, depending on weather conditions, says Spears.

He says the company is talking with prospective retail companies to lease the space once it’s completed, including a Sherwin Williams retailer.

The architect on the project is Russell C. Page Architects PS, of Spokane.

Chad Carper, of Kiemle & Hagood Co., is marketing the space for lease.

Kilgore Construction, a general contractor, was established in Colbert in 1997.
