Affiliate of tenant acquires Broadway industrial park

Fast Way had leased its space there for 20 years

November 20, 2014

Havana Properties LLC, a recently formed affiliate of Spokane-based Fast Way Freight Systems Inc., has bought the Broadway Terminal industrial park where Fast Way has been leasing space for more than two decades, says Mark Willard, Fast Way chief financial officer.

Willard declines to disclose terms of the transaction, which was negotiated by Mark Lucas, of Spokane-based commercial real estate brokerage and property management company Kiemle & Hagood Co.

Fast Way occupies 7,500 square feet of space in Broadway Terminal, at 4101 E. Broadway.

Broadway Terminal includes three buildings with a total of 57,200 square feet of space on 8 acres of land zoned for heavy industrial use.

Jeff Bosma, a principal in both Havana Properties and Fast Way, is the property manager.

The property had been owned by Paul and Willene Allison, of Spokane, and managed by Doug Dittamore, of Kiemle & Hagood.

Willard says the transition to landlord should go smoothly. “We’re not foreign to them,” he says of other Broadway Terminal tenants.

In addition to Fast Way, tenants include Freight Way Inc., R.C. Worst & Co., Power Machine Services Inc., and Circle M Construction & Landscape Supplies Inc.

The industrial park has 3,000 square feet of vacant space, Willard says, adding that a prospective tenant he declines to identify is considering leasing half of the vacant space.
