Another mixed-use building planned at Kendall Yards

Three-story building would be similar to Highline Lofts

October 9, 2014
Mike McLean

North Gorge Commercial Partners LLC, an affiliate of Liberty Lake-based Greenstone Corp., plans to construct a three-story mixed-use building just east of the similarly sized Highline Lofts building in Kendall Yards.

A building permit application for the proposed 27,000-square-foot structure is under plan review by the city. The project site is located at 1104 Summit Parkway, in what the site plan submitted with the application shows as Highline Phase 4. All four Highline phases have multifamily rental components.

Greenstone representatives couldn’t be reached immediately for comment.

Continental Contractors, of Nine Mile Falls, is the contractor on the project, and Spokane architect Jerry Ressa designed it.

The building permit application says the proposed structure would have 9,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor, and the second and third floors would have a total of 24 apartment units.

The building size would be roughly the same as Highline Lofts, which has ground floor commercial space for up to six tenants and 24 second-and third-floor one-bedroom and studio apartments. Commercial tenants there include Brain Freeze Creamery.

Greenstone CEO Jim Frank had told earlier the Journal that the construction value for Highline Lofts was $3 million.
