Ecova remodels its corporate headquarters at Rock Pointe

Spokane-based energy-management company Ecova Inc. has launched a $900,000 remodel and expansion project at its corporate offices in the Rock Pointe Corporate Center, north of downtown.

The project involves improvements to 95,000 square feet of floor space on the fourth and fifth floors of the five-story Rock Pointe East Building, at 1313 N. Atlantic, says Dana Prainito, a spokeswoman for the company. Ecova, an affiliate of Spokane-based energy company Avista Corp., has expanded its space by there by 20,000 feet since 2011.

The project is scheduled to be completed in December, Prainito says.

Baker Construction & Development Inc., of Spokane, is the contractor on the project, and Spokane-based NAC|Architecture designed it.

Shar Wilson, project coordinator with Baker Construction, says the remodel and expansion project will reconfigure Ecova’s office space and will involve removing some walls and constructing new walls.

Ecova has more than 1,400 employees in 30 states. Of those, more than 700 employees are based at the Spokane offices, Prainito says.

The company, originally named Advantage IQ Inc., was founded in 1996. Today, it has more than 700 public-sector and commercial clients.
