Buddy Bar Co., a Hayden security device maker, has leased 1,300 square feet of floor space at 2147 Hayden Ave. and has moved there from a home base. Craig Hunter and Rob Kannapien, both of Coldwell Banker Commercial Schneid-miller Realty, handled the transaction.



Sylvan Learning of North Idaho, a Missoula, Mont.-based franchise of the Baltimore-based Sylvan Learning Inc. children's tutoring operation, has leased 2,000 square feet of floor space in Sunset Village, at 296 W. Sunset, in Coeur d'Alene, where it has opened a new location. The franchise also includes a learning center at 1810 E. Schneidmiller, in Post Falls. Craig Hunter and Rob Kannapien, both of Coldwell Banker Commercial Schneidmiller Realty, handled the transaction.



New Mill Capital LLC, of New York, has bought the 183-acre former Kaiser Aluminum Corp. Mead Works smelter property, at 2111 E. Hawthorne, for $1.5 million, and plans to sell equipment and metal remaining at the site, lease out some of the usable buildings, and market portions of the property for heavy-industrial uses. Earl Engle, of NAI Black, handled the transaction.



Port of Hope Centers Inc., a Nampa, Idaho-based substance-abuse treatment provider, has leased 2,100 square feet of office space in the Sandalwood Business Center, at 2114 E. Sherman, in Coeur d'Alene, and plans to move its Coeur d'Alene office there from leased space at 218 N. 23rd. Craig Hunter and Rob Kannapien, both of Coldwell Banker Commercial Schneidmiller Realty, handled the transaction.



A Step Beyond, a Coeur d'Alene vocational rehabilitation counseling service, has leased 900 square feet of office space in the Professional Plaza, at 2201 N. Government Way, and plans to move there from leased space at 2195 Ironwood Court. Craig Hunter and Rob Kannapien, both of Coldwell Banker Commercial Schneidmiller Realty, handled the transaction.



IPC the Hospitalist Co., a North Hollywood, Calif.-based hospitalist practice, has leased 1,500 square feet of office space on the seventh floor of the Rock Pointe Tower, at 315 W. Boone, and plans to move there from leased space at 108 N. Washington. Jon Jeffreys and Jeff McGougan, both of NAI Black, handled the transaction.



McCullar Family LLC, of Ephrata, Wash., has bought as an investment the two-story, 13,800-square-foot Summit Professional Center, at 407 E. Second. J. Grant Person, of NAI Black, handled the transaction.



Shannon Industrial Contractors Inc., of Coeur d'Alene, has leased about 5,000 square feet of space at 131 E. Poplar Ave. in Coeur d'Alene, and plans to move there in May from 2301 E. Coeur d'Alene Ave. Craig Hunter and Rob Kannapien, both of Coldwell Banker Commercial Schneidmiller Realty, handled the transaction.
