New Wells Fargo branch envisioned on South Hill

Lincoln Heights bank location may be ready for February opening

October 7, 2021

San Francisco-based Wells Fargo & Co. has begun planning a new bank branch inside the Lincoln Heights Shopping Center, on Spokane’s South Hill, says Juan Lopez, Wells Fargo’s senior communications consultant.

The branch will be located at 2915 E. 29th, in two vacant suites formerly occupied by Sprint telecommunications and N.W. Beauty Supply & Salon stores. The suites will be combined into a single, 3,300-square-foot space.

The branch will have a conventional design with teller lines, personal bankers, and a walk-up ATM with 24/7 availability, Lopez says.

A building permit application, currently under plan review by the city of Spokane, lists the value of improvements planned for the new branch at $950,000.

The project is being designed by the Seattle office of Ankrom Moisan Associated Architects Inc.

Wells Fargo has not yet hired a contractor for the project, Lopez says, but the company hopes to begin construction in mid-November and complete the project by early February.

Wells Fargo has 16 other branch and ATM locations in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene area, according to the bank’s website.
