Education: Bachelor's degree in political science, Whitworth University; MBA, Gonzaga University School of Business Administration; Law degree, Gonzaga University School of Law.

What drives/inspires you? My family is my driving force daily, and everyday I'm inspired by the boundless potential of all humans. I really enjoy being able to play my small part in making our community a place people want to be.

What advice would you have for others looking to follow a career path similar to yours? Just do it. There will never be a right time. Do the research, create the relationships, and don't take "no" for an answer.

If you had to choose an alternative career path and money wasn't relevant, what would you do? I've always wanted to be a writer, but I would really love to assist startup businesses in all phases of growth and fundraising.

If you had one wish for Spokane, what would it be? My wish would be that we continue to improve and find a way to engage the next wave of thought leaders and innovators, to continue to move Spokane forward.

Less than a decade after Jordan Tampien co-founded 4 Degrees Real Estate with his brother, Joel, the developer and entrepreneur has grown into a champion of multifamily residential development, with an eye for creating and investing in popular business ventures including Brick West Brewing, North Park Athletic Club, and professional soccer club USL Spokane.

His affinity for real estate began as an intern at Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners, where he helped secure $7 million in grants while earning dual graduate degrees at Gonzaga University. By 2018, Tampien had secured over $60 million in real estate transactions.

Last year, Tampien announced plans for three multifamily projects valued over $32 million, including the $12.9 million 4th Avenue Multifamily complex, in Spokane Valley; the $18 million Peyton Building conversion, in downtown Spokane; and the $1.25 million Lolo Lofts remodel, in Spokane's North Bank neighborhood.
