Cambria Hotel opens near Spokane Airport

Four-story lodge offers restaurant, bar, market

November 21, 2024

Travelers to the Spokane region have a new lodging option in Cambria Hotel Spokane Airport, at 4611 S. Dowdy Road.

The four-story hotel, which opened Sept. 30, offers 91 rooms, an onsite restaurant, over 1,000 square feet of professional meeting space, and complimentary airport transportation, according to a press release issued by the hotel.

A representative of the hotel couldn't be reached immediately .

According to permit information filed with Spokane County, Moses Lake, Washington-based MedVed Global Northwest LLC was the contractor on the hotel project, which had a construction value of $6.4 million and was completed in late August.

Moses Lake-based Brar Hotels Group LLC owns the nearly 3-acre property near the northeast corner of Geiger Boulevard and Dowdy Road, Spokane County Assessor’s records show.

A hotel had long been envisioned at the site, with plans in 2019 proposing an 85-room La Quinta Inn facility.

The Cambria Hotel is marketed as an upscale brand of hotels in the portfolio of Choice Hotels International Inc., a North Bethesda, Maryland, company that owns over 7,500 hotels in over 45 countries and territories, according to the company's website.

Choice Hotels also operates the dual-branded Sleep Inn/Mainstay Suites Spokane Airport LLC facility, at 3809 S. Geiger Blvd., about a mile northeast of Cambria Hotel Spokane Airport. The Sleep Inn hotel is aimed at shorter guest visits, while the Mainstay Suites offers amenities for longer stays, including in-room kitchens, a marketplace, laundry, and weekly rates. The property has an indoor heated pool, a breakfast area, and a small bar and lounge.

According to the hotel’s website, Cambria Hotel Spokane Airport is a pet-friendly hotel. The marketplace offers snacks and other on-the-go items, and the restaurant, named The Landing Point Kitchen + Bar, serves breakfast and dinner.
