Spokane Sports CEO Ashley Blake has been appointed to the board of directors for the national Sports Events & Tourism Association.

Blake will serve as a destination representative for the board. Her term expires in 2026.

“Blake’s appointment reflects the national recognition of Spokane’s leadership in sports tourism and positions the organization to help shape the future of the industry at the highest level,” a Spokane Sports press release states.

Blake, a Journal of Business People of Influence honoree this year, assumed her role as CEO of Spokane Sports in 2022.

She told the Journal in December that Spokane Sports would be supporting nearly 60 events in Spokane County in 2025, bringing over 150,000 attendees to the market.

Spokane Sports recently received funding from the Washington State Department of Commerce to help fund the construction of The Course Spokane Valley, a cross-country venue expected to open in the fall.

The Sports Events & Tourism Association, or Sports ETA, represents more than 700 member organizations and 2,400 sports event professionals.
