Paws N' Claws moves to North Division space

Pet grooming salon Paws N’ Claws has moved to a new space at 9725 N. Division from its longtime location at 10220 N. Nevada.

The business is co-owned by mother-daughter grooming team Irene and Brenda Jordan, who are also its only employees.

Brenda Jordan says the salon has been in operation since 1986 under various owners, until her mother purchased it in 1999.

“We turned Paws N’ Claws into an LLC this past December,” she says. “At the same time, we were looking for a larger, more visible location and just happened to find this place.”

Jordan says the salon’s new space is a 1,115-square-foot, one-story building with basement that was formerly occupied by KVC Jewelers.

“This location is larger, more visible, and allows us the opportunity to advertise,” she says. “We only needed to do some minor remodeling to be ready to open.”

Jordan says she and her mother are hoping the new location will enable the business to grow and attract new clients.

“Our current clients love the new space, and we’re working to put up signs to gain interest from new customers,” she says. “In the next few months, we’ll be adding a self-service grooming station and hope to add another groomer and a bather to our staff.”
